Guidelines

In order to better serve its customers, US-EU Match publishes events that can be of interest to them. The selection made by US-EU Match contains the following kinds of events:

1. Brokerage Events:
   What are they?
   They are business events usually targeted according to technology area, and consist of bringing companies together in bilateral or even multilateral meetings according to a catalogue of technology requests and offers or profiles and expressions of interest.
   Where does their interest lie?
   Their interest lies in the possibility for US-EU Match customers to meet companies and clients in order to realise technology transfer and reach partnership agreements.
2. Seminars/Webinars:
   What are they?
   These are training events on specific topics gathering participants in a venue (seminars) or through the Web (Webinars) and keynote speakers prominent in the area covered by the event.
   Where does their interest lie?
   These events provide training on specific topics that might be of interest to US-EU Match customers and are related to the general scope of US-EU Match activities.
3. Presentations of specific technological areas:
   What are they?
   These events gather stakeholders in a specific technology area: researchers, companies, public institutions, and sometimes also the general public.
   Where does their interest lie?
   Such events aim at providing deeper knowledge in specific areas, especially if they are new, emerging, or if there is strong innovation activity related to them.
4. Conferences:
   What are they?
   They are large periodic gathering events usually organised in the framework of specific networks.
   Where does their interest lie?
   Their interest lies in information exchange on topics of interest and in the possibility of networking.
5. SME Missions:
   What are they?
   These are targeted events attended by small groups of stakeholders in specific technological or economic areas.
   Where does their interest lie?
   These events are aimed at awareness raising on specific related issues in the areas they cover. These issues go beyond the general presentation of a specific area (which may be new, emerging or strongly innovative in its activity) and may be linked to topics of high interest and concern at the time of the event. Visits to local SMEs are often included to foster potential cooperation.
