A small Austrian company has developed a new device for securing load transported by trucks or trailers. The device consists of two hollow, elongated profiles, whereas one is movable within the other. Movement is restricted by a lashing and a ratchet.
Advantages include ease of use (quick to secure), ability to support up to 1000 daN (deca Newton), adjustability and easy combination of several units. The company seeks licence and manufacturing partners.
To ensure the safe transport of goods, a reliable secure
device on trucks and trailers is required by law. Several systems and tools already exist on the
market such as belts, nets, telescopic bars, etc. but none are as flexible nor as secure as the
innovation described.
The telescopic securing device for trucks and trailers consists of two
hollow, elongated profiles movable within each other, whereas the movement is restricted by lashings
and ratchets.
Clamping or crimping endings allow the goods to be fixed to each other or to
constructive elements of the truck or the trailer.
The securing device has been launched to the
Austrian and German market and 2000 devices have already been sold.
Four different models are
available. Two different sizes have been designed either with pressing lugs or with clamping
endings.
All models are certified by the German Association for Technical Inspection (TÜV)
and suitable for high mechanical stress (up to 1000 daN). Samples and detailed descriptions of the
prototypes are available on request.
