Us-eu-match met end of January universities, researchers and companies from various sectors in New York and Boston. The conferences were organized under the hospitality of the US German house in New York and the MIT in Boston at the occasion of the 2nd European Innovation and Entrepreneurship Workshop. Many people from different horizons were attending both meetings describing by facts the opportunities coming out of the Enterprise Europe Network access (www.enterprise-europe-network.ec.europa.eu).
The Enterprise Europe Network is composed of 650 contact points across 45 counties and has
published more than 10,000 business and technology opportunities since 2008.
Its principal
aim is to assist small- and medium-sized businesses, as well as research centers and universities,
by putting them in contact with organizations that can help their enterprises develop and thrive.
It represents as such the larger network dedicated to international partnerships in the world.
The Delegation of the European Union to the United States of America
represented by Mr. Laurent Bochereau exposed how us-eu-match enters in the
framework of research programs. Especially the opportunities for American companies to participate
to such programs have been explained.
The different services have been presented, such as
the business and technology opportunities support and added-value tools such as the email alert
service, the access to the business and technology profiles. The participation to brokerage events
was explained as a possibility to internationalize business. These events, very familiar within the
Enterprise Europe Network” are a kind of “speed dating” concept applied for
companies. They are generally taking place during important thematic commercial fairs.
All along the events, questions were raised on different topics linked to
the high value-added services provided by us-eu-match platform. Much more than a bilateral access
point to a single country in Europe, us-eu-match accompanies the companies in their
process of international collaboration. Its platform opens the doors to the entire European and
additional 18 countries business and technology market for the companies willing to broaden their
vision.
